When I read Brandy’s article “Why I Want a Wife”, it’s an interesting article and a reality story that’s based on facts. Brandy wrote her article certitude that every man wants, every man wants or wish the perfect wife that they can imagine. She mentioned her article the kind of wife she wants to, wife that can take care of all the household chores and she pointed out that she wants to go back to school. I think in my opinion, the wife that Brandy wants is not subsist in the Western countries. Because, if you go back to the 18th and 19th century, the women were responsible every kind of the household chores, while, men were doing outdoors chores like supporting the family; but it’s a lot different then ever before, because, every day there’s a change in the world and the women are responsible for many things today like financial and traditional households. There are single mom’s who support her family indoors and outdoors chores. However, the Westerner women are affliction then any other women in the world, because they have two fulltime jobs. While, the Arab world and the Islamic countries are quite different then the Western countries, Muslim women do only one job and that’s the household chores, even, if they are graduated from university or college they prefer to stay with their children. Because, it based on our religion (Islam) and the most of the women are happy when they stay with their kids. Even though, we have a choice whether we want to find a job or stay home. However, this was a long tradition for the Islamic world and every Muslim woman are following what their parents devoted to. Moreover, there’s a reason behind for this, Muslim women don’t worry about the family financial support because it’s the responsibility of the men. On the other hand, the Western women have to share their financial support with the family.
