response to yuki shimizu
I totally agree with Yuki Shimizu that even though Ju’s family needs to work to survive without a father, the difficulty those they gone through took a significant role to bond together with the family. As I can see in the end part of the book that Ju, Joon and her mom were very successful in maintaining their relationship. They move into new apartment which even better that they used to have. Ju was going to university with scholarship so she did not have to pay for her school. And Joon was still Joon; he loved to listen to laud music, drawing pictures and can hang out with his friends.
Moreover, I absolutely agree with his idea that “blood is thicker than water”. Family plays an important role in my life. I grew up to be the oldest of the four. I have two brothers and one sister. When I was teenager, I did not develop a strong communication between my brothers and sister because I have my own friends so I care less of them. After I passed that phase, suddenly my parent’s expectation of me to be a good role model for my brothers and sister was greater than I thought.
