In Sunghoon Park’s response, I found that I have similar situation, which not go back to home country until reach our goals, with Sunghoon. Before I come to the Usited States, I have a very good job in Taiwan. When I decide to quit my job and study in the United States, my parent are not agree with me because they don not like me leave them to the United States. After talk and show my ideas with my parent, I prepare to study in the USA. I book a one way air ticket because I decide not go back my home country until obtaining my degree. After I came to this country, I have to rely on myself to live in this country because my family far away from this country and they cannot help me. I do not get money from my family and I pay everything by myself because I saved some money, which enough for me to study in the USA, when I work in Taiwan. Now, I have been live in this country about one and half year. At the first couple months, I try to adapt the custom, culture, food, weather and language. Compare to AnNa, I was lucky because I did not that kind of hardship after I came to this country. However, I can feel that their nervous, when they just move to a foreign country, because I have similar culture shock problem, too. Also, language barrier gave me stress; I have to communicate with people in English. After more than one year live in this country, I felt more comfortable to speak English with people; however, my English still need to improve because I cannot speak and write it fluently. Before I obtain my degree and go back to my home country, I hope I can learn my English very well.
