response from Yuki Shimizu to three writers.

When I read the essay written by Jerry Adler, “Building A better dad”, I felt a big relief. The last two essays we read before this essay was basically on women’s side. On the other hand, this essay was written from men’s perspective which no other women could not notice. I want to be a big fan of him because he shows honest opinion how much involves into responsibility of child care. Now that so many women has same right on business field and work outside of house, husbands who did not share the responsibility of house chores are now in the hot water and target of claim. It is true that men changed their expectation toward wives in harmony with social viewpoint. I do not know about older generation, but men in younger generation try to help their mates as much as possible. Now men are more likely to take care of child, fix a supper, and clean house. However, many people think that women still have to have major resonsibiltiy and men do not share it enough. Is it really true? It is no wander that not only women but men also feel stress and have a hard time in an office and house. As Adler mentioned, I would say that “it has always been hard to be a man” is totally agreeable opinion even if it is difficult to understand for some women. Even now that men’s expectation to women in terms of house tasks have been decreased dramatically, there is still high expectation for guys to make enough money to provide sufficient financial needs of their family. Although I think it is right thing for men to make a living, women should show appreciation toward what he is doing. At the same time, men also need to appreciate what a wife is doing at home if he cannot find time to help her.
