Response to Daisy’s response (Anthony)

Daisy, I agree with your opinion on this point. I didn’t agree that the concept of Young and her Apa. In their first impression Mi Gok (American) gave them is that a good place where people can easily get a lot of money, and everyone can live in a big, nice and comfortable house. It just likes a Heaven in their mind. Actually, the truth is that American is not the special one. Everyone has to work hard in order to gain the good life in American. In my case, my auntie who has been United States for almost 10 years works in the restaurant. She lived in a big house 3000 sq. feet. There are front yard and back yard. She has a very beautiful life with her husband and two sons. It seen that she is very easily to get this. I can tell you that my auntie paid a lot of effect so that she can have the life now. She is an immigrant that came from china. When she came to United State, she didn’t speak English even a simple work like “Hello!” However, she knew that it is very hard to live in the United State but she still decided to come here to have a new life. She learned how to speak and try to speak even she didn’t know much vocabulary. Now, my auntie can communicate with American without any trouble. She said that she work 13 hours per day. There is no holiday on sunny. She works seven day in a week. So, I believe that to being an immigrant is not easily as Young and her Apa’s thinking.
