The Live Expereinces

1) School experiences?
Young ju was a young lady who doesn’t understand the meaning of future, she was little to make her decision. She never heard before the word future but now it is different when uhmma and apa talk about future all the time, she surprise why every things depend on future because when they were in Korea there were no future talks but Mi Gook is diverse. Every child is different from each other and it depends on the community they live. Young ju grew up a small town and poor family, in that situation there is no future prediction and she doesn’t care about her school and the future to come.

2) Ethnic identity?
In the third world countries the parents love boys then they girls because they believes boys can do better then girls and the reason for that is the most of the publication are illiterate .You can understand that how Young ju father was always saying my son one day he will be lawyer, doctor, or a president, he never mention his daughter will be like his son, while he told that Young ju you are a girl and you can visualize how they are putting down the girls.

3) Language?
Every person who is trying to speak or learn different language will be very difficult at the first time. Young ju was trying to speak the Mi Gook language but every thing will take time before you reach their bottom. When she said my brother die I thing my opinion she was trying to say I get a new brother and you can imagine how the other language will be hard to learn. However her teacher was a good teacher who tried to make happy Young ju because she felt sorry for her.

4) How do you feel about speaking English?
To speak English it is okay for me because it is not my mother tongue language it is my second language , I know I do have accent when Iam speaking but I don’t care as long as I understand the language . Sometime when Iam speaking I saw people who surprise how Iam speaking but that is not the point, there is Somali Proverb says “Keep on studying, keep on trying, never thing you have arrived” I trust my self and I will try until I reach my goal.

5) How do you feel speaking your native language ?
I feel very happy when Iam speaking my own language and I like to speak every time if I saw Somalian person because it remembers me as Iam in my country.
